Summer 2010

WONDERFUL. We were greeted warmly and always treated with friendliness during our stay. Our room was just perfect - delightful and tasteful decor to a very high standard, comfortable beds, lots of space and ample storage for our clothes and even ample hangers. We couldn't have been closer to everything in Canterbury and with free parking provided were able to walk directly into the city center. I cannot recommend the Coach House enough. If you are spending time in Canterbury then try and book rooms here - you will not be disappointed - I promise! - Trish, September 2010

I was in Canterbury, from the U.S., for ten days to celebrate my daughter's marriage. Not only was the Coach House just around the corner from my daughter's flat but it was an easy walk to anywhere within the city wall, and some places without as well. My room included a very comfortable king size bed, HD TV, WiFi, and en suite bath, as well as a tea/coffee service. It was fresh and bright and nicely decorated. The bathroom was quite large, everything was kept clean and nice, and my choice of continental or full breakfast was included -- all for a very reasonable rate. The owner, Claire, and staff were wonderful, and wonderfully accommodating. I could not have asked for a more welcoming environment that seemed to be able to meet all of my needs. Il B&B è situato in una posizione molto comoda. Ha un piccolo parcheggio proprio di fronte all'ingresso, più che sufficiente per i clienti. E' molto curato e pulito. Lo testimonia anche il fatto che è praticamente obbligatorio togliersi le scarpe all'ingresso e, per tutta la permanenza, si cammina a piedi scalzi, dato che c'è una splendida e morbida moquette in tutti gli interni. Si nota il grande buon gusto e l'attenzione per i piccoli dettagli. La colazione è buona ed abbondante. I padroni di casa sono splendidi. Wir kamen einige Stunden zu spät im B&B an, wurden aber auch spät am Abend sehr herzlich empfangen und sofort für unserer lange Anreise entlohnt. Die Familie, die das B&B leitet ist sehr zuvorkommend, man kann sich bezüglich aller Fragen an sie wenden. Das Haus erscheint "typisch" englisch, mit weichen Teppichböden im gesamtem Haus (Achtung - Schuhe am Eingang ausziehen!).Im Zimmer steht ein kleines Tabett mit Wasserkocher, Tee, Milch und Kaffeepulver. Die Zimmer sind generell sehr geräumig und zum wohlfühlen! Handtücher werden täglich gewechselt, das Zimmer ist generell sehr sauber. Haarfön ist allerdings nicht vorhanden.In wenigen Minuten ist man vom B&B aus im Zentrum und vor der Cathedral, trotz der zentralen Lage hört man so gut wie keinen Lärm von der Straße. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls fabelhaft, man kann zwischen einem kleinen aber sehr feinen Buffet oder einem frisch gekochten Frühstück wählen.Das B&B ist, gerade für Studenten so wie wir es sind, natürlich nicht unbedingt billig - im nachhinein kann man aber sagen, dass es das Geld wirklich wert war. Vi var tre voksne søstre som delte et familierom på The Coach House. Rommet var stort, badet enormt, alt var gullende rent og det var lekkert innredet og i delikate farger. Det unge paret som driver stedet er imøtekommende og hjelpsomme, og det ble mye prating og latter med dem. De insistrete på å bære koffertene våre opp alle de smale trappene til tredje etasje - snakk om service! Plasseringen kunne heller ikke blitt bedre: midt i sentrum, med alle de koselige butikkene og gatene - og bare to minutter å gå til busstasjon/sykkelutleie og fem minutter å gå til katedralen. Vi hadde vindu ut mot gaten, men det var ikke så mye trafikk at det sjenerte oss. Om vi skulle reist tilbake til Canterbury - som for øvrig er en fantastisk flott by!!! - ville vi uten tvil bodd på samme sted. - Appel, May 2010

We spend this year our third holiday in UK and started the trip in The Coach House. We got a warmly welcome from the helpful hosts and we enjoyed the stay very much. We had the pleasure of staying at the Coach House in Canterbury for 5 nights and we were made to feel most welcome. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable and it was so nice to have our own private bath. Everything was kept spotlessly clean. My two friends and I were in Canterbury on a cultural visit and found that this guest house took care of us perfectly. The car park was free and available from 12pm and we liked the room and the breakfast. The couple that own this establishment were warm welcoming and friendly as was the lady who served us at breakfast. It was also a short walk from our final pub. Good times. Mr Catford, May 2010

January & February 2010

I've been to a few B&B over last year in the U.K. but this one was the best in all categories! First of all it was clean, every room with en suite or private bathroom, flat TV 19 inch with DTV-B and most of all owners were friendly and happy to help you with everything you might need. + Free WiFi (signal losses in top floor though). + very close to city centre by foot (shops etc). We stayed for 2 weeks holiday in the Coach house in Canterbury. Everyday was wonderful. The guest house was very clean, the owner and his family very kind and relaxed. The rooms are beautiful and they are done with love, you can see it. And perfectly clean. Canterbury was great. So lovely and a lot to see and to do. I love staying at the Coach House and always will when I am down in Canterbury. The rooms are stunning and I love how each have their own little twist. They are spotless and they have real duvets on the bed, perfect for snuggling with. My room always has a little en suite and a TV and goodies like biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate too. The breakfast is lovely and relaxed. A beautiful place, with parking and so close to the town centre, but no noise, so its fantastic if you are visiting or just staying for uni or business. I love it here as they are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Brilliant. Rachael

Once again, we were not disappointed staying at the Coach House: warm welcome, friendly, a beautiful clean room with en suite shower room, great location in the center of Canterbury (shopping getting to heavy, just pop back to the Coach House), free parking. To say that our stay at The Coach House was fabulous would be an understatement. With my family and I just moving to Canterbury from Australia, there was a lot for us to organise - a place to rent, school/nursery etc. The owners went above and beyond the call of duty, so to speak, and provided us with more than just extremely clean facilities, a delicious breakfast and a spacious room. Instead, we were given detailed maps, local schooling advice, a place to relax and unload and more importantly, a friendly ear. Both managers were understanding of our needs as tourists and at all times catered to the needs of our small children too. A beautiful Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Canterbury. The Coach House has a very central location for visiting Canterbury. This was my second stay with them and I came back because of the cozy rooms, great service and family atmosphere. They spent an hour helping us find a rental car for a visit to Leeds Castle and then the day we were leaving we had to go very early so they left us sandwiches. I spent a total of 2 weeks in the UK. Started in Manchester, then to London, and ended in Canterbury. I arrived at the Coach House B&B and upon entering the front door I noticed immediately that this place was very nice and of proper quality!! I was graciously met and was led to my room. I was not disappointed at all. Clean, well decorated, and SPACIOUS!!! The bed slept very well. Also, location, location, location!!! Perfectly placed within the walls of Canterbury. I had no problems with any of the locals and it was very quiet during my stay. Breakfast was outstanding which is made to order. Had free Wi-fi and it worked like a charm as well. I consider The Coach House my UK flat without any of the responsibilities of a taking care of a flat. I will definitely stay here again without any hesitation and have told all my friends the same as well. I just wish I knew when I could go back. I need another holiday. Chris Hoffman, USA

カンタベリーの城壁内にあるＢ＆Ｂで、カンタベリー大聖堂まで徒歩５分という非常に好立地にあります。部屋は６部屋しかありませんが、それぞれ個性的な内装で、広さも十分です。バスタブがなくシャワーブースのみだったこと、また部屋によってはドアを隔てた専用のトイレ・洗面所・シャワールームとなりその移動がちょっと煩わしいです。オーナー夫妻は若く気さくな方たちで、英語がうまく伝わらないとわざわざ翻訳サイトで日本語に変換てくれる親切さでした。朝食もまた抜群においしかったです。値段もとても手ごろでしたので、もしもう一度行く機会があればまた泊まりたいと思うほどです。Sakomoto JP

Das Coach House in Canterbury ist eine kleine Bed&Breakfast-Pension in einem älteren Haus nur wenige Fußminuten vom Bahnhof Canterbury East gelegen, und nur wenige Schritte vom Whitefriars-einkaufszentrum und der Hauptfußgängerzone entfernt. Auch die touristischen Attraktionen wie die Kathedrale sind innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Das Haus ist im georgianischen Stil gebaut, und so hatte das von mir bewohnte Einzelzimmer neben einem schönen Erkerfenster mit Blick auf den Hinterhof auch noch einen kleinen (allerdings nicht mehr funktionstüchtigen) Kamin. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich, das Frühstück (man kann zwischen kontinentalem und englischem Frühstück wählen) ist lecker und reichlich, und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis macht dieses B&B zu meinem bevorzugten Stop in Canterbury. Bei längerem Aufenthalt gibt es verschiedene Vergünstigungen, und es stehen auch Fahrräder zur Verfügung, für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Janika, Germany

Very impressed with our stay at The Coach House. A wonderful guest house that is full of character and charm. Rooms that are large enough to house an army and bathrooms that are equally impressive in size. My wife and I had a brief (one night) stay at The Coach House on our way across the Channel. We were delighted with everything! Great location ; good-sized and interesting room -and spotless! Good breakfast, we do intend to return sometime. We have stopped at two other establishments on 4 previous occasions but must say that The Coach House is the better by far. Picked The Coach House on the internet and have to say it was fantastic. Owners of the guest house were very friendly and did a great job with the place. I understand plans on more renovation to make it even more pleasant although it is perfect for us as is. The location was excellent, convenient but quiet. Parking was right in front of the building and it was free. Each room had a private well-equipped bathroom. Owners had arrangements with some local businesses to offer guests discounts on meals, local attractions and other benefits. I thought it was a nice touch and had not expected it from a B&B. Excellent homemade cookies prepared for us upon check-in. We visited a few places in the Uk on this trip and the whole family picked The Coach House as the best place we had stayed. Dae Fung

I stayed in The Coach House a few days ago and it was exceptional. Pre booked over the email and from that moment on the service was very good. During our stay we were well looked after with breakfasts of good choice and quality. Rooms are large and our room had a wonderful fireplace.
